Une circulation sur les chemins fantômes d’un métier disparu, celui d’ « oublieur », éclairée d’une enquête de Yoann Dumel-Vaillot, chercheur et philosophe, et hantée par les mots d’Elsa Vettier, curatrice et critique, illustrée par les curiosités de Charlie Boisson et présentée par Sophie Auger-Grappin, directrice du Creux de l'Enfer.

Présentation des créations de Charlie Boisson réalisée lors d'une résidence au Creux de l'Enfer en 2021, en collaboration avec des habitants du territoire, le dessinateur Arnaud Descheemacker et le forgeron Pierre Pagès autour d’un projet dédié aux “moules à oublies”. Ancêtre de la gaufre et de l’hostie, l’oublie est une pâtisserie fine cuite dans un moule en fonte décoré de motifs en relief. Très populaire au Moyen-Âge, l’artiste en propose ici une réinterprétation contemporaine

A journey through the forgotten paths of a vanished profession – that of the ‘forgetter’ – illuminated by an investigation by Yoann Dumel-Vaillot, researcher and philosopher, and haunted by the words of Elsa Vettier, curator and critic, illustrated by the curiosities of Charlie Boisson and presented by Sophie Auger-Grappin, director of Le Creux de l’Enfer.

A presentation of Charlie Boisson’s creations, produced during a residency at Le Creux de l’Enfer in 2021, in collaboration with local residents, the illustrator Arnaud Descheemacker and the blacksmith Pierre Pagès, as part of a project dedicated to ‘oublie moulds’. An ancestor of the waffle and the communion wafer, the ‘oublie’ is a delicate pastry baked in a cast-iron mould decorated with relief patterns. Highly popular in the Middle Ages, the artist offers a contemporary reinterpretation of it here.
